Jeanne Ridao

“From the depths of the ocean to the beauty of what each season can offer us in its simplest form; my inspiration is a tribute to nature, to its rhythms, its movements, its different sets of lights and transparencies which amaze, brings joy and remind us of the essentials.” My Art is an invitation to a world that inspires calm, serenity, and abundance...I use mixed media and incorporate a variety of raw materials into my artwork for a multi-dimensional experience.” ‘At 6 years of age, I received my first box of ‘real pastels’, discovering with wonder the wide palette with all the variations of color. I made good use of it. A young adult in Paris, while working in the corporate field, she continued drawing, and painting and was very involved in the vibrant Parisian arts/ culture scene. After moving to Canada she continued to remain very active in the arts/culture circle, coordinating events, and curated/producing art shows. Her professional activities took her to central/west Africa for projects in the mining sector. During these years in Africa, she worked very closely with local communities, discovering multiple facets of the richness of Art. In 2017, after a serious accident, she was entirely dedicated to her art and creativity. Ideas came in waves. She was compelled to explore new and unusual techniques. She has found a unique, recognizable style which has now become a trademark of her work. She participated in various Art shows in Canada and Europe and her work is in demand internationally.”
