Jenny Ink

Jenny Ink is a NY based, mixed media artist with a distinct contemporary painting style that is a mixture of abstraction and figuration, often fusing elements of painting and drawing with collage. Her multilayered and highly contrasted stylings lay focus on manipulating shapes and light to form images that occupy a space somewhere between authentic and imagined.

She takes much inspiration from the city; street scenes, the cultural diversity of the people and her love of music. Her work has been shown in galleries in NYC, Long Island, Las Vegas, Toronto, London, and Milan.  She is a featured artist in the ‘Face Of Pop Art’ Catalog and issue no. 9 of Bougie Art Gallery Magazine.  This fall, her work will be featured ‘In The Studio’ an Art Gallery Advertorial Feature in Vanity Fair, UK.

As an artist , she creatively exploits her subject matter often constructing & deconstructing multilayers of strong and vibrant colors to generate artworks that are positioned between the authentic and the imaginary. Colors and small details are key to understanding the artist's entire poetics, centered on the treatment of social issues through the use of strong contrasts, to generate tension, disorientation and instill doubts and reflections in the observer. Rebellion against homogeneity, against the non-diversity that is rampant in society today. Jenny Ink’s art is a scream, an invitation to reflect on social and economic inequalities, on the reality that surrounds us. Her art is pure rebellion, it's the vivacity of colors and the vibrant force of contrasts. It's an invitation to grasp the beauty of diversity, to notice the small but important signs around us and to reflect on the thought developed.
