Rosie Wick

I’m Rosie, a fine artist based out of the Bay Area. I've molded my identity around being an artist, with a lifelong passion for illustrating, writing, and painting that emerged from my earliest years. I predominantly create artwork using acrylic and oil paints, catering to individuals seeking beauty and significance within the often harsh human experience.

Having encountered several close family deaths, I've felt an intensified need to seek beauty wherever possible, even if that means creating it myself. My aspiration is for my artwork to inspire people to seek new perspectives and establish an emotional connection. I find profound enjoyment in the creative process and believe it's my purpose to craft art that serves as a healing force for our past experiences of loss and sacrifice.

My upbringing involved watching classic movies with my mother and grandmother, instilling in me an inclination to infuse elements from that era into my work. My inspirations often stem from the retro vibe of old televisions and rotary dial phones. I depict individuals in a state of introspection, observing the unfolding world through the screen of their own thoughts and emotions. These individuals navigate a reality fashioned within their minds.

In my art, I strive to fabricate worlds and characters that reflect my spirit, curiosity, and compassion, endeavoring to create beautiful paintings that captivate the viewer.
