Yukari Blair was born and raised in Fukuoka, Japan and currently lives and paints near Kyoto, Japan.

She has loved drawing since she was a child, but never had the self-esteem to became a painter or even think about it. Later, as an adult, she traveled to about 20 countries around the world. An event during that time changed her life dramatically.

When she traveled to southern Italy, she was blessed and welcomed by the local people everywhere she went. This experience made her realize from the bottom of her heart that "people are already wonderful just as they are, and everyone is a unique and precious being. When she realized this, her entire being was filled with joy and she was convinced that this was the truth.

After that her father's death, she went to a psychology school, where she was reunited with oil pastels. She was awakened by the nostalgia of oil pastels, the beauty of the colors, and most of all, the joy of expressing herself. Since then, in order to prove that everything that is born is unique and precious She decided to convey her message to the world by painting pictures in her own life-size and in her own style.

She values above all else the freedom to paint from her inner soul, free from all restrictions.

“When I was a child, I loved to draw princesses and women, and did so every day.

Now I remember that origin and draw mainly women. As I draw, the stories of princesses and women appear before my eyes, and somehow I can directly feel their emotions and feelings. When I draw, I smile or cry because I feel their emotions. I feel the urge to draw them and follow my soul with a child's heart.”
