Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Alicja Gorecki is an intermedial artist and art therapist whose practice centers on transformation and material dialogue. She primarily works with preloved textiles and crochet, creating tactile compositions that merge softness with structural exploration. By combining diverse materials, she investigates both their limits and their harmonies, revealing new textures and relationships that emerge through the act of making.

Her work reflects the cyclical processes of life—growth, decay, renewal—and seeks to express them in an aesthetic form that invites reflection and emotional resonance. For Alicja, art is both therapy and philosophy: a meditative journey through touch, patience, and transformation.
