Bianca Pirlog
Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Bianca Pirlog (b. 1994, Brăila, Romania) is a London-based contemporary artist whose work is characterised by an ethereal yet quietly resolute visual language. Working across oil painting and technologically mediated mixed-media processes, her practice examines emotional intensity, inner dualities, and the subtle tension between strength and vulnerability.
A graduate of the University of the Arts London, Pirlog further refined her artistic vision through academic and cultural studies in Japan. Her engagement with Eastern philosophies and aesthetic traditions continues to inform the contemplative, atmospheric, and meticulously constructed nature of her work—where surface, materiality, and presence are held in deliberate balance.
Unbound by a fixed methodology, she works intuitively, drawing on memory, travel, and everyday emotional experience to create layered, introspective visual forms.
