Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Catherine Rose is a visual artist based in Quebec City. Her work draws from an organic and feminine movement, carried by the fluidity and ever-changing beauty of nature, a reflection of life’s own fluctuations. With a background as a yoga and meditation teacher, her creative journey is rooted in intuition, contemplation, and a deep sensitivity to textures, forms, and colours.

For her, each painting is an opportunity for transformation: the canvas becomes a meeting ground for matter, emotion, and time. Embracing a non-linear process inspired by nature, she allows space for detours, emptiness, and asymmetries. Her aim is to offer timeless pieces that invite slowness, inner dialogue, and a sense of intimate connection with the world.
