Erica Renee Bren is a visual artist based in Sun Valley Idaho who spends her summers in her home town in Hawaii. She was trained in classic charcoal life drawing techniques and studied Art History and drawing in both Honolulu and Paris.

Artist Statement:

“I have always been attracted to figure drawing and the primitiveness of charcoal. My love for horses inspire my paintings, so powerful, free with such a natura raw energy.

Rococo Style and the Fête Galante resonates with my innate desire to express nature through my art. I have evolved to a more minimalist approach. Discovering the power in empty spaces, focusing on the essential lines, soft colors, and shading in order to create powerful movement in my images.”
