Artist Biography / Artist Statement

Erin O’Sullivan, born and raised in Manchester, is a self-taught artist and comic book writer/illustrator. Identifying heavily with gothic subculture and holding a degree in Psychology and Criminology, Erin specialises in exploring darker themes of the human experience. Through meticulous detail and vibrant colour, she transforms fleeting moments of horror into enduring visual narratives.

Through her artistic practice, she fosters a deeper connection between the audience and the complexities of fear and vulnerability. Erin’s work not only pays homage to the genre but also explores universal themes of anxiety and suspense, encouraging viewers to confront their own emotional responses. She continues to push the boundaries of miniature painting, creating a unique blend of horror and art that resonates deeply with both genre enthusiasts and art lovers alike.
