Artist Biography / Artist Statement

Erin Rockwood is an oil paint artist only using palette knives to create texture by applying thick layers of paint to the canvas to build upwards and outwards. She enjoys painting a wide range of all the beauty that comes from Nature bringing out positive emotions in all her art pieces. Her favorite tree to paint is the Palm Tree that invokes a sense a soothing happiness.Living in Florida she is by the Ocean which she loves and inspires and connects her with many of the subjects she paints.She is currently working on several large scale Mermaids.
