Eryn Rose
Artist Biography / Artist Statement:
Eryn is a watercolor painter and ceramic artist who graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2011. Her coil pots and paintings are meditations, created in a repetitive motion. She was born and raised in Colorado by a potter and a poet. Much of her childhood was spent outdoors in the Rocky Mountains and on camping road trips across the United States, where she found deep connection with the landscapes: a sea of mountains, the stillness of high desert plains, the deep oranges and reds of the Southwest, and the stars above the rock formations in New Mexico.
These experiences instilled in her an understanding of how land influences the inner being, how the past collides with the present, and how these reflections reveal the ephemeral nature of time.
