Ferrara Aurelie
Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Like a photographer capturing a precise moment, Aurélie Ferrara transcribes moments of life and interiority through her graphite pencil drawings.
Born in 1985 in Landes, southwestern France, she has been drawing since childhood. After becoming a lawyer, life brought her back to art in 2018, when she decided to become a professional artist. After living in Bordeaux, she returned to Landes, the place she calls her anchor. Her original works have been exhibited in contemporary art venues in Paris, Madrid, Barcelona, and Biarritz.
In 2024 and 2025, she received the International Merit Certificate (Pinacothèque Art Prize, Luxembourg Museum).
Her art develops drawing by drawing, stroke by stroke, as she refines her technique to capture an expression or an idea. Both aesthetic and communicative, each work reflects her own sensitivity.
Working exclusively in black and white, she uses only graphite pencils.
