Hiroshi Itami

Artist Biography / Artist Statement

1980 – Started “Declaration of Aesthetic Expression” – ongoing.
1991 – Proposed “Circulation Art” – ongoing.
1993 – Started “Plan for Correcting the Magnetic Field of the Planet” – ongoing.
2001 – Attempted to express invisible energy in a form that can be seen and heard, based on the concept of “magnetic field = consciousness field,” while also exploring unknown energy and sending out messages about the idea of making it usable.

These activities are based on the theme of solving human issues, and at the time and place of the issue, they send out messages to society using all kinds of means of expression, including two-dimensional, three-dimensional, video, sound, performance, and land art, while changing the shape, color, and scale.
