Artist Biography / Artist Statement

My education is in graphic and fabric design. I attended college for graphic and fabric design and earned two separate degrees. I have been painting for about a year and a half. My passion has always been art. It was my first love, as I say. It was locked away in a special place for a long time, but now it is rising in me again. I simply love it.

I paint with textures because I love having structure in my paintings. It may have something to do with my education, but I enjoy creating a three-dimensional effect. I like the contrast between smoothness and roughness. I enjoy sanding plaster and then coating it with colours. There are no rules for creativity—that is my personal motto for painting.
