Jaime Cuadrench Berlinger
Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Jaime Cuadrench’s work is rooted in Lyrical Abstraction with an Expressionist foundation, where painting is understood not as representation, but as an act of intimate connection and pure experimentation. His practice is driven by the need to translate the intensity of emotional states and the human psyche into visual form, leveraging personal crisis as a creative catalyst.
His process is characterized by the experimental use of water as a medium and color as a language. Cuadrench manipulates the interaction of pigment and support, allowing emotion to impulsively guide the stroke. The result is a material and fluid painting, rich in contrast and saturation, that captures the movement and energy of deep-seated feelings.
