Juliana Schultz

Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Educated at the University of the Arts London, Juliana Schultz creates paintings that explore the movement of water—not through literal depiction, but as a sensory and immersive experience. Fluidity, reflection, and the shifting nature of water are expressed through her use of gold leaf, a material that—like water—responds to light and transforms depending on the viewer’s perspective.

The interplay of light and gold creates an active dialogue between artwork and observer, evoking the sensation of standing within nature itself—surrounded by its calm, rhythm, and unpredictability.

Inspired by tides, reflections, and landscapes in constant motion, Juliana’s works are never fixed. They breathe. They shift. They offer not a single image, but an experience that unfolds and evolves—just like water, never the same twice.
