Justine Giordano
Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Justine Giordano is a self-taught abstract artist who resides in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Cayman Islands. She finds inspiration in elements of nature and her travels around the world, themes that can be seen throughout her work. Her work is influenced by the diverse landscapes and vibrant cultures she has experienced during her global travels. Each piece she creates juxtaposes her personal perspective with elements of the ocean.
Her practice regularly combines acrylic paint with non-traditional mediums and techniques to create distinctive pieces with complex energy and fluid textures. Creating new work consistently over the last eight years has contributed to the development of her unique abstract style of painting. Recent work incorporates the use of resin and recycled materials. Her work is currently available on JustineGiordano.com.
