Kaleido Marbling Art

Paola De Giovanni is an artist, photographer, and textile designer, a graduate of the London College of Fashion, MA-Fashion Studies.

During the global epidemic, Paola taught herself marbling and acrylic pouring. She considers these techniques a form of active meditation: grounding, liberating, and empowering.

Paola describes marbling as "painting on water," a mesmerizing art technique that has endless potential to create stunning art.

"When I discovered acrylic pouring technique, I found a wonderful art technique that could allow me to express my creativity and at the same time keep me focused and anxiety-free in these challenging times. I enjoy the limited control I have on the flowing paints and, like in a dance, I try to establish a relationship with the medium, without overworking the artwork. I allow myself to lose myself in the creative process, intricate ebbs, and flows of abstract patterns.

Marbling and acrylic pouring are effective meditation techniques, an art therapy that allows me to express my creativity and bring into the world mesmerizing and quirky art often born out of "happy incidents" because it is impossible to fully control the fluid medium.

Paola is available for collaborations and commissions from interior designers, art galleries, and art buyers for the residential and hospitality sectors.
