Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

I primarily use oil paints that I mix with natural materials such as stone, iron, and copper to explore unique colours and expressions. When painting, however, these materials may or may not adhere to the oil paint when mixed together, while their colours change and erode over time. It feels as if the old creatures—such as animals and micro-organisms fossilised in the materials—are coming back to life, and the painting appears to be alive.
