Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Louis Rodiger (b. 1975, Tijuana, Mexico) is a fine art photographer based in Los Angeles, holding dual citizenship in Mexico and the U.S. Known for his symbolic fine art and cinematic portraits, he explores transformation, mysticism, and the subconscious, drawing from music and dreams. His work is deeply influenced by lucid dreams, astral travel, and altered states of consciousness, often depicting mythological and historical figures through a modern lens. His series Las Paganas examines beauty and destruction through chiaroscuro lighting and sculptural elements. Rodiger has photographed members of The Smiths, Jane’s Addiction, Siouxsie, Bauhaus, and more.
