Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Mayte Yagüe (b. 1967, Barcelona, Spain) develops a body of work marked by the exploration of matter and energy as visual languages. Her compositions are characterized by the tension between the organic and the abstract, the fragile and the monumental, where colour, texture, and luminous contrasts act as metaphors for the human and the transcendent.

She has participated in numerous collective exhibitions at both national and international levels, building a career that seeks to place the viewer before the aesthetic experience as a space of reflection and revelation.
