Mauricio De la Parra

Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Mauricio De la Parra is a celebrated Mexican sculptor born in Mexico City on January 16, 1996. He showcased talent for clay modeling from a young age, supported by his family's encouragement. At 17, he began formal training in a small atelier, which laid the foundation for his artistic career. He honed his skills at the renowned Academia de San Carlos, focusing on sculpting techniques, and furthered his education in digital modeling and anatomy at Escena Escuela de Animación y Arte Digital. Over the years, Mauricio has become a key figure in contemporary Mexican art, exhibiting in various galleries and museums. His sculptures, influenced by Realismo Mágico, explore innocence and emotion through children, symbolic animals, and mystical beings, inviting viewers to engage with human experience.
