Japanese Sumi / Bokusho Artist / Abstract Artist / Sumi-Performance

She has lived on the island of Kauai, Hawaii for 20 years.

Grew up in the scent of Sumi-ink under her grandfather, who was a monk and medium,

in her life with her grandfather who copied sutras.

Own style, Bokusho-art that draws with a feeling. Also Minori is a Hula dancer, Minori is performing a

fusion of Hula and Sumi-art.

The unique style of drawing on Sumi-dyed cloth and using tools made from natural elements also

creates a unique world.

Graduated from the Architecture and Space-design school. Since that time, Minori has been

fascinated

by the world of Antonio Gaudi, Her most respected artist.

After Minori moved to Hawaii, she was a core practitioner of traditional Hula. And traveling around in

Europe, Japan, America, all Hawaii islands for sharing Hula and Aloha-spirit. There is no doubt that

Minori's drawings reflect the conscious and unconscious influence of living in the big nature of Kauai,

Hawaii. Also, the 20 years spent in deep contact with Aloha's spirituality also add some element to her

art.

Japanese Sumi-ink that contains all things in nature, the richness and depth of Sumi-ink that includes

all of the infinite colors. Minori is fascinated by the depth of Sumi-ink that bleeds and blurs, and Minori

is exploring the possibilities through her own drawing.
