Artist Biography

Nataliia Salamatova is a contemporary abstract artist, born in 1983 in Ukraine. After graduating from high school, she became a cook. However, she couldn't ignore the creative potential she was tapping into. The walls of her house turned into a "gallery," and those around her expressed gratitude for the original gifts.

At the age of thirty-three, in 2016, Nataliia changed her place of residence and moved to Switzerland. Faced with unforeseen difficulties associated with integration, she was compelled to rethink her self-identification, both as an individual and as part of society. Through this process, she realized that there is a visual language through which she could express and communicate her own vision, self-awareness, and awareness with the outside world. Nataliia's works are a transformation—thought, idea, object, material, sound, word, feeling, emotion, and state of intention are transformed into a holistic abstract or semi-abstract image that carries a deeper statement.
