Noa Ry
Noa Ry engages in the creation of sculptures, 3D paintings, robotic art, animations, installations, and video art, emphasizing a forward-looking perspective. The Artist introduces the term DIVORG - a dividing organism, driven by a vision of the future. From a cultural study standpoint, DIVORG represents the evolution of Donna Harraway's "cyborg" theory, as Noa Ry perceives the necessity for a new term defining the 21st-century human species. According to Noa Ry, "We are no longer controlled by technology; instead, we have merged with it, altering our identities. Boundaries have dissolved, and identities have become intertwined. To navigate this fast-paced, information-laden world, we must embrace division to survive."
"We must embody a DIVORG - a dividing organism."
Noa Ry's artworks raise intriguing questions: "Where is the trajectory of our merging with technology leading us? Is technology assuming the role of a new religion? Are we engulfed by machines, or are we undergoing a rebirth through them?"
In the artist's recent works, Noa Ry continues to explore the intersection of the "analog" and "digital" by animating pre-existing 3D paintings, sculptures, and newly conceived sketches. Each animation originates from a sculpture or 3D painting crafted by Noa Ry, breathing life into the static forms. By reproducing facial expressions, Noa Ry reintegrates her essence into the depths of the amalgamation of art and artist, bridging the realms of technology and human flesh.
