Artist Biography / Artist Statement:
Unless it’s a commission, I never know what I am going to paint, which allows for my favourite type of art: Abstracts. These are a total joy for me. And colour—I absolutely love colour.

The freedom it gives means there is no structure. The painting takes its own journey; it is an act of pure spontaneity. The layering, textures, and tonality allow for the viewer to see a different form. I have a piece where different people see a ballerina, a Rastafarian, a waterfall, or even a horse trying to catch a fish—it couldn’t be more diverse.

The challenging point is simply knowing when to stop applying paint. Every piece has its own story, and the viewer determines what it is. I hope you enjoy what you see.
