Susana De Anda
Artist Biography / Artist Statement:
Susana De Anda is a self-taught artist from Mexico. She attended the University of Texas at El Paso, graduating with a degree in Marketing. She later moved to Holbox Island, Cancun, where she opened Holbox Galeria. Guided by her motto, “Giving the World Color and Joy”, her work radiates vibrancy and optimism.
Her greatest inspirations are women whose strength and cultural legacies shaped her artistic path: Frida Kahlo, Mary of Guadalupe, and women of Mayan heritage. Through her art, Susana seeks to honour these influences while creating a joyful visual language that resonates with viewers across cultures.
