Artist Biography / Artist Statement:
Tajana Vanovac Sesar (1982) completed primary and then secondary education in Sarajevo, at the School of Design and Modeling.

She came to Mostar to study psychology, where through diplomatic relations between Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kayseri, Turkey, she was sent to the Kaymek Educational Institute, which she later founded in Mostar with the help of the Consulate General of the Republic of Turkey, for training as a project coordinator.

Since 2018, she has lived and worked on the island of Šolta, where she continues her creative activity—through the creativity that saved her as a child in wartime Sarajevo, and she learned that only through creativity can she reach her island of Avalon.
