Theodoros Tsinias
Artist Biography / Artist Statement
Theodoros Tsinias is a multidisciplinary artist, composer, and percussionist driven by a deep need to express, connect, and awaken. Rooted in jazz, improvisation, and contemporary composition, he blends sound, performance, and visual media to explore themes of alienation, identity, and social awareness. His work—whether composing for Greek tragedy, staging endurance-based performances, or collaborating across disciplines—invites reflection and emotional engagement.
Tsinias holds a B.M. in Jazz Studies from CUNY (Magna Cum Laude) and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from LAGCC (with honors). He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Princeton University, and collaborated with Juilliard and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. His project Argumentative Coexistence united poetry, painting, and percussion to explore cultural memory and artistic dialogue. Tsinias sees art as a living force—a bridge between people, cultures, and inner worlds.
