Artist Biography / Artist Statement

Vanessa Melloni is a figurative artist from Frankfurt am Main who has specialized in the use of graphite and charcoal since 2021. In her drawings, she explores Greek mythology, which she views as a timeless space for images and meanings.

During her studies at the European School of Design in Frankfurt am Main, she acquired a solid foundation in academic drawing and art history. She subsequently gained extensive professional experience as an art director and product designer. She is currently studying art history and philosophy to deepen her understanding of her craft.

Through her artistic work, she aims to make the cultural heritage of historical art accessible to the present day and to establish a connection between classical pictorial tradition and contemporary perception.
