Anastasia Schipanova

Artist Biography / Artist Statement:

Anastasia Schipanova is a contemporary artist working within her own artistic direction, Energy Abstract, a practice that brings together painting, psychology, and philosophy.

She was born in Russia. Her mother is an economist, and her father is a ship captain. Growing up as a captain’s daughter, Anastasia spent much of her childhood at sea and began traveling extensively from an early age, eventually visiting more than 70 countries. This constant movement across cultures and continents shaped her deep interest in nature, global processes, and the diversity of human experience, elements that later became central to her artistic worldview.

She holds a degree in psychology, which significantly informs her artistic methodology. Her practice explores the relationship between consciousness and emotional experience, creating what she describes as “energy portraits,” intuitive visual manifestations of inner states.
